Educational & Sports Qualification
For Head Constable (GD), candidates must have 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised Board/University.
For Constable (GD), candidates must have Matriculation/10th Pass or equivalent.
Candidates must also meet the prescribed sports achievement criteria. Eligible achievements include recognised International competitions, National Games/Championships, Inter-University competitions, Junior National competitions, Khelo India events and other specified competitions.
The sports achievement/certificate should generally fall within the two years before the advertisement date, and candidates must possess the required certificates by the last date of application.
Age Limit & Physical Standards
The basic age limit is 18 to 23 years as on 1 August 2026. Age relaxation is available for eligible categories as per the notification.

Selection Process
The recruitment process includes:

Sports achievements are also awarded marks for preparing the merit list, with marks depending on the level of competition and medal/participation achieved.
Application Fee
₹100 application fee is applicable to male UR, OBC and EWS candidates. Female, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the fee.

Applications are accepted online only. The sports certificate supporting the highest eligible achievement must be uploaded before applying; otherwise, the application can be rejected during scrutiny.
